ITINERARY

Pickup from the hotel or an agreed point (we suggest pickup time 07:00hrs), Short briefing with your safari guide and drive toward the western region of Uganda through the central region known as Buganda region which is scenic and rich in culture. As you driver is explaining about the life of Ugandan, watch out for the road side open markets where flesh foods are being sold, people walking to gardens with hand hoes and pangas or women currying a child on the back heading to farms. Leg stretch or coffee stop at the equator is recommended, though it can as well be done on your way back. Proceed to your lodge, inside the park or at the edge of park for a hot lunch, check in and afternoon boat cruise on the lake.
The afternoon two/three-hour boat cruise is famous for attracting a variety of animals that come to quench their thirst from the lake banks. Watch out for hippos, massive Nile Crocodiles, Buffaloes, waterbucks, lots of birds such as African Fish Eagle (the master of stealth), the elusive African finfoot which is among the top ten must see birds of Uganda (here you have better chances of sighting it than any other place) among others. After your boat cruise, have a short game drive as you head to lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Drive Time: 3-4 Hours
After an early breakfast you head out for a morning game drive in search of wildlife including leopards, Hyenas, zebras, waterbucks, topis, impalas, warthogs, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos returning to the lake among others. After your morning game drive, you will transfer to Bwindi through the rolling terraced hills of Kiga people known as Banyakigezi. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the UWA briefing Centre for a short briefing where you will be guided through the rules of gorilla tracking. After the briefing, you will be allocated to the gorilla family where you will trek the gorillas in group of eight in number. You will be led by the armed ranger who will be communicating with trackers, who will telling you the direction which to follow where the gorillas slept the previous night. After locating the gorillas, you will spend one full with them as you study and learn about them at a distance of seven to ten meters. Watching gorillas interact with one another in their natural habitat is one of the amazing activities to encounter while on safari in Africa.
After a memorable encounter with the gorillas, you will return to lodge filled with a lot of memories for dinner and overnight.

Today we will transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth national park Uganda’s most popular destination famous for the magnificent Kazinga channel and Ishasha sector. After your breakfast, you will drive to Ishasha sector where you will have a game drive in search of wildlife such as Lions, leopards, tops, Elephants, buffaloes among others. This sector is famous for the tree climbing lions and massive herds of elephants with big bulls however we can’t guarantee that you will see them. After lunch, you will have an evening boat cruise on Kazinga channel famous for the highest density of hippos on the African continent. Several wildlife come to drink along the banks of the channel in the afternoon thus perfect timing for this activity, Uganda Kobs, Elephants, Solitary cape buffalo bulls, The Nile crocodile, Waterbucks, a lot bird life on the banks including pelicans, African fish eagle among others. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast, we will have one more chance to explore the big game in the lash plains, explosion crater lakes and wildlife of Kasenyi sector before we transfer to the primate capital of the world “Kibale forest national park”. Watching closely in the candelabra trees for a leopard or lion relaxing or watching prey at distance. Later drive out of the park to proceed to Fort Portal with an evening crate lake drive to watch the sun go down. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Chimpanzee tracking is among the top five activities that one must do while taking on a safari in Uganda. Today will we will have a short drive to the Kanyanchu briefing Centre where we will join other for a short briefing about the activity. Kibale National Forest has one of the highest diversity and concentration of primates in Africa and has large number of endangered chimpanzees, as well as the red colobus monkey and the rare L'Hoest's monkey. After the chimpoanzees have been located, we will have one full hour learning and observing them as tey go on with their daily lives. This one hour is really fascinating and memorable since these are ages are our close relatives with 98% DNA. In the afternoon, we will Bigodi Community for our swamp/wetland walk which is a haven for mammals such as sitatungas, bushbucks, otters with over 200 bird species. Local and knowledgeable guides will take you on an interpretive tour as they escort you through the lush vegetation. This is the perfect opportunity to view the wildlife from the forest pathways, boardwalks and atop a tree house tucked high in the canopy. Dinner and overnight at Lodge
