ITINERARY
At 8:00am- you will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali after receiving covid-19 negative results and start Kigali city tour which includes: Kigali Genocide memorial, Kimironko local market, lunch in Kigali then after transfer to volcanoes national park check in at Davinci Lodge, Five volcanoes hotel for your dinner and overnight stay
At 6:30 you will be picked up from your lodge after early morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing with park rangers, By 8:00 am you will drive to the starting point at the base of mountains where you will start the gorilla trekking through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga. Tracking gorillas may take 3-6 hours. Stay with the Gorillas for one hour and be back at the base in time for a late lunch. After lunch take one hour for leisure time then after drive to Iby’iwacu traditional cultural dances performed by ex-poachers. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge on full board basis. At 6:30am, after an early breakfast from your lodge, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. Hiking mount Bisoke takes one day and it has a crater lake on the top which was resulted from volcanic eruption and is a tough hike requiring good fitness. By 8.00am you set off with your driver guide accompanied by park ranger as your guide during hiking adventure and transfer to the head trail starting point of the hike. From there you get hiking sticks and it’s necessary to hire a porter to carry your backpack and start. Later return to your lodge in the evening and overnight stay at Davinci Lodge, Five volcanoes hotel
In the morning after your breakfast you will proceed to Akagera national park you will do short game driver later check in at Akagera game lodge on full board ( FB) ( Mid-range) for your dinner and overnight stay.
After early breakfast proceed to a dawn game drive to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts. The game drive will reward you with chances to see a variety different species of animals such as: elephant, buffaloes, lions, Maasai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Butchel's zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard and bush buck among others. Today we shall go with our packed lunch from the lodge as we shall be going in the other sector of the park and we shall return in the evening for boat ride at Lake Ihema. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Afternoon you will transfer back to Kigali check in to your hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.
