ITINERARY

Upon arrival, you will go through the immigration process that takes about 2/3 hours, you will our company representative who will transfer you to the lodge or guest to overnight.

Accommodation Hotel No.5 or Boma Hotel or Karibu Guest House.

After your early breakfast (we recommend 06:30hrs and depart at 07:00hrs), you will have a short briefing with your safari guide about the journey of today, from Entebbe to the western region of Uganda that’s that rich in culture is famous for the Ankole long horned cattle and the most energetic and hardworking people-Bakiga that inhabit the kigezi hills. Throughout this long drive, we will have several interesting stops as we interact and learn more about the social cultural and political aspects of the local people. Pay attention to your guide as he explains about the lives of the local people, on weekdays, you will be lucky to find some open markets along the road that sale fresh foods straight outer the gardens. We will have a hot lunch in Mbarara and then we proceed to Bwindi where we will check in at your lodge and overnight.
Upon arrival, you will meet your safari guide who travelled the previous day to meet you at the airstrip (Expected Arrival Time 08:45hrs). While using Kihihi airstrip, you will drive toward Bwindi where you will have an early check ij at the lodge and then embark on a community walk which will be the activity of the day.
However, the other option would be visiting the Batwa who have been resettled from the forest since 1994.
Arriving in Kisoro, you will drive to lake Mutanda for a canoe boat excursion which takes about 2/3 hours. Very scenic and rewarding in photography and bird life. The other option will be driving to Mgahinga national park for the Batwa experience. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Gorilla trekking is among acme fascinating, heart stopping, hair raising and spine-tingling wild encounters that alters the course of your soul and electrifies your sense of travel like never before leaving you with great memories in your heart. About 1000 mountain gorillas are still remaining on this planet with Uganda hosting about 51% of the total population, offering the best opportunity to watch these gentle giants in both Bwindi and Mgahinga.
Today we will offer you that golden chance to trek these mountain gorillas, after your early breakfast, you will have short drive to the UWA briefing Centre where you will be taken through the dos and don’ts while tracking gorillas. The trekking can or may take 2 hours or even a whole day since the nature of the trek is unpredictable. We recommend you to carry enough drinking water, picnic lunch, rain gear since there is a possibility of rain pouring anytime, hiking shoes and gloves. After briefing, you will be assigned to family which will trek in a group of eight pax. You will be led by the armed ranger guides off the forest to search for the gorillas. After gorillas have been located, you will have one full hour viewing them as they go on with their daily lives at a distance of 7-10 meters. You will be allowed to use your camera and phones but in silence and to remove the flash so that you can photograph and capture this moment of lifetime. After the one hour your will trek back the vehicle and return to lodge with a lot of memories and stories to take back home. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After your early breakfast (06:30hrs), we will depart from Bwindi (07:00hrs Departure time) as we head to the central part of Uganda. This is along drive with over 10 hours however it is action packed with a lot of scenic and photography stops en route. We will have our hot lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre or Agipu Mortel in Mbarara and later embark on the journey to the equator where we will pause for few minutes to take some photos. In case you would like to shop for some souvenirs, the equator is one of those places where you can buy some crafts or art gallery in Entebbe before your flight back home. Depending on your departure time, kindly let us know if we should book for you a day room use at any of guest houses.
