Queen Elizabeth national park is Uganda’s most famous popular destination that’s crossed by the equator line marked Zero degrees and hosts over 90 mammal species, 600 bird’s species have also been recorded here, diverse ecosystems such as sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game not forgetting ten primate species including chimpanzees have also been recorded here. Our three days will take you to top destinations of this park such as the astonishing Kazinga channel home to 1000sh of hips, the sparkling crater lakes, immense wildlife and historic local communities.

ITINERARY

After a short briefing with your safari guide, we will drive towards to the South western part of Uganda through the dry Ankole Corridor with several stops including equator photographic stop, hot lunch stops in Mbarara (Igongo cultural Centre/Agipu Mortel) and later proceed to the lodge to check in and later visit one of the salt lakes in community to understand more about the culture and history of the people of this region. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Today, breakfast will be served early in order to create more time and chances for the massive game viewing activity of the day. We will take on the medley of wonders “Queen Elizabeth National Park” which is gifted with 95 mammal species and 600 bird species. Watch out for Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, baboons, Leopards. Hyenas, lions, Warthogs, mongoose and any other wildlife that inhabit the lash plains of Kasenyi as your guide will identify most the of the wildlife. Later return to lodge to prepare for the afternoon boat launch on the famous Kazinga Channel that joins lake Edward and Lake Gorge.
After our hot lunch at the camp, we will drive to the Mweya peninsula for our afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The Kazinga Channel is an oasis for many of the fascinating species that inhabit the park, and taking a boat tour along it gives visitors the chance to cruise just meters from hundreds of enormous hippos and buffalos while elephants linger on the shoreline. A number of bird species can be sighted while on this two-hour boat cruise as your boat captain shares more information about the park and its wildlife.

After an early breakfast, we will have one more chance to do a game drive in the lash plains, explosion crater lakes and wildlife of Kasenyi sector before we transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe. Note that the transfer today is about 7/8 hours with several stops en route.
