03 DAYS MURCHISON FALLS

Our three days short safari will take you to Uganda’s most outstanding national park that boosts over 70 mammal species, 450 bird’s species and the magnificent Murchison falls which is the Centre piece of the park.

This is Uganda’s largest and oldest national park with five game reserves that make up the Murchison Falls Conservation area. Discovering this park whether by boat cruise to delta or water falls or game drive both day and night is remarkably rewarding and adventurous. Lions, leopards, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Giraffes, Hippos, buffaloes, Patus monkeys, baboons with lots of savanna birds are what you can expect where visiting this park.

Combing this park with Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, give a chance to sight the big five of Africa. (Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo)

ITINERARY

Meet at an agreed place/Hotel, have short briefing about the safari and later transfer to Murchison falls national park driving through the farmlands and marshlands of the central region of Uganda with lunch en route at Kabalega Dinners or Masindi town. After lunch, Proceed to the park with an evening game drive in search of treasures of the park. Dinner and over Night at lodge.

After an early breakfast, we head out to the endless plains of the magical Murchison Falls National Park that’s famous with acacias especially whistling acacia and Borassus palm trees. You might be able to find elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and leopards.
Later drive back to the lodge where you will have breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, another safari will be organized, by boat along the river Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls, get off the boat and hike to view the beautiful Murchison Falls. The boat takes about 2/3 hours with a lot of wildlife both on the Nile and the banks with animals that come drink water during the hot days. These include elephants, Nile crocodile, waterbucks, baboons, hippos, warthogs, and many bird species such as the African skimmers (migratory), African Wood Owl, Giant King Fisher, Red throated Bee eater, African fish eagle among other may be sighted while on this scenic boat safari. Later, drive back to lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, we head back towards Masindi and have a stop over to track rhinos on foot. After lunch we drive back to Kampala and drop off at an agreed place.
